Laying a glued parquet floor

This technique can be used for an all-wood parquet or for a plywood parquet with a noble wood facing (see "Laying a floating floor").

Advantages :

• Ideal acoustics.
• Can be varnished or sanded.

Disadvantages:

• A glued parquet floor must be laid on a prepared surface which is appropriate for gluing.
• Drying time to be allowed for before using the room approx 24 hours before walking on the floor and 72 hours before moving furniture in.
