This floor consists of a strip of wood or medium covered with a layer of noble wood facing (oak, beech tree). The thickness of the facing will depend on the manufacturer.
It is laid on an insulating acoustic underlay. They are assembled using the tongue and groove method or a mechanical assembly system (without glue).
Advantages :
Easy to lay.
Ideal for renovation purposes.
Can be sanded down once or more depend on the thickness of the facing.
Disadvantages :
not recommended for bathrooms, utility rooms, etc.
some internal resonance which can be reduced by adding an acoustic underlay.
